Saturday October 1st, 2022
2 p.m.
Duration: 1h

Free activity (in French only)
No prior booking required

This activity is made possible in part by the financial support of the Caisse Desjardins de la Culture.

On the occasion of both the Journées de la culture and the International Day of Older Persons, VOX invites you to an activity that combines an initiation to contemporary art and to local history!

1. Guided tour of the exhibition The Radical Imaginary II: Reclaiming Value (30 min)

The tour aims to introduce participants to contemporary art through the themes addressed in the exhibition, namely the economy and value.

2. Discussion (30 to 45 min)

Inspired by artist AM Trépanier’s work Dans le souffle de c., this discussion led by a specialized educator will lead you to discuss the history of Montreal’s infamous Red Light District, where VOX is now located, and its illicit economies through your own memories. We therefore invite you to bring photos and objects to fuel the discussion.

As this event coincides with the International Day of Older Persons, seniors are especially invited to come and share their memories!

Themed refreshments will be served on site.
