Jocelyn Robert works in music, audio art, computer-based art, performance, installation, video and text. His installations and videos have been shown internationally, and his sound works can be found on more than 30 compact discs. His work is the subject of multiple essays and publications, including three monographs published by the Galerie de l’UQAM, VOX, centre de l’image contemporaine, and the Musée des beaux-arts de Nantes. Robert founded the Avatar audio and electronic arts centre, and helped found the Méduse co-op in Quebec City. He has lectured at Mills College in Oakland, California, and at Université du Québec à Montréal. Since 2008, he has taught at the Université Laval School of Art in Quebec City. [Source : 2019]
