Kim Waldron

Kim Waldron (1979–) is a Canadian visual artist who lives and works in Montréal. In her art practice, she frequently uses self-portraiture as a means of engaging with various contemporary social situations. Active in the local, national, and international scenes, she has had works exhibited at the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts (2017), CIRCA art actuel (Montréal, 2017), Jimei X Arles International Photography Festival (Xiamen, 2016), Mains d’oeuvres (Paris, 2016), Ortega y Gasset Projects (New York, 2016), and Dunlop Art Gallery (Regina, 2016). She has had artist residencies in English Harbour (Newfoundland), Paris, Vienna, Xiamen, and Beijing. In 2013, she received the Claudine and Stephen Bronfman Fellowship in Contemporary Art and the Pierre-Ayot Award. She is represented by Galerie Thomas Henry Ross art contemporain (Montréal).
