Thérèse St-Gelais is Professor at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) where she is also director of the Institut de recherches et d’études féministes. She curated Le Désordre des choses (with Marie-Ève Charron) at Galerie de l’UQAM in 2015 as well as the exhibition devoted to Ghadar Amer at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal in 2012. She has contributed to numerous exhibition catalogues including on Theresa Margolles (Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, 2017) and on Marion Wagschal (Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, 2015). She has collaborated on several collective publications including Desire Change: Contemporary Feminist Art in Canada (McGill/Queen’s University Press, 2017) and co-directed with Ève Lamoureux an issue of the journal Recherches féministes entitled “Où en sommes-nous avec le féminisme en art ?” (2014). She has co-directed the publications Le Désordre des choses. L’art et l’épreuve du politique (with Marie-Ève Charron, Les Éditions esse, 2019) and Archi-Féministes ! Art contemporain, théories féministes (with Marie-Ève Charron and Marie-Josée Lafortune, Optica, 2019). She contributed to the MOOC “Elles font l’art” produced in collaboration with Centre Pompidou and UQAM. She is a member of the Réseau québécois en études féministes (RéQEF). [Source: VOX, 2022]
