Born in Guyana in 1968, Yudi Sewraj immigrated to Canada in 1975.

He studied visual arts at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax, then moved to Montreal, where he lives and works. His videos have been presented at art events in Canada, the United States, and Europe. His works are included in collections in Canada – including the National Gallery of Canada – and in Italy.
