Denis Farley lives and works in Montréal. For over forty years, Denis Farley has been working on several photographic and mixed-media projects linked by with formal and conceptual considerations. His eclectic yet coherent approach intermixes elements of nature with concepts of measurement, observation, surveillance, and most recently with data transmission.

He completed a master’s degree in Fine Arts at Concordia University in 1984. His work—mainly but not exclusively photographic—is exhibited in Canada, the United States and Europe. He is part of several private and public collections including those of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, the National Gallery of Canada, Musée de la photographie de Charleroi and the Fonds national d’art contemporain in Paris (FNAC).
