Jean-Paul Kelly
Jean-Paul Kelly explores the relationship between materiality and perception. His videos and exhibitions question the limits of representation by examining complex associations in the production, reception, and circulation of documentary material. Kelly’s work has been exhibited at Plug In ICA (Winnipeg), Delfina Foundation (London), Musée d’art contemporain des Laurentides (Saint-Jérôme), Oakville Galleries, Wexner Center for the Arts (Columbus), The Power Plant (Toronto), Mercer Union (Toronto), and Gallery TPW (Toronto). His videos have screened at Canada House (London), Courtisane Festival (Ghent) and at international film festivals in Rotterdam, New York andToronto. He has held artist residencies at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (New York) and Delfina Foundation (London); and was a guest artist at the 2018 Brakhage Center Symposium (Boulder) and the 2013 Flaherty Seminar (Hamilton).
