Michel Murray

Michel Murray is a Quebec filmmaker born in 1959. He has directed a dozen short and medium-length fiction and documentary films, combining live action, animation and optical effects. His films, often tinged with humor, blend genres and cinematographic techniques to address issues of the modern age. Director at the National Film Board of Canada from 1992 to 2003, he became director of ICARI (Montreal) in 2004. The school then joined the Collège Bois-de-Boulogne, where Murray created the DEC in 3D animation and computer graphics, which he coordinated until 2023. [Source: VOX, 2025]
