Sylvie Readman

Sylvie Readman is Associate Professor at the UQAM École des arts visuels et médiatiques and holds degrees in visual arts from Université Laval and Concordia University. Her work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Canada, Mexico, France and Belgium. In 2024–2025, she participated in the group exhibition Shifting Horizons organized by the Winnipeg Art Gallery-Qaumajuq. The exhibition Porosities, developed as a duo, was presented from 2023 to 2021 at the Galerie des arts visuels de l’Université Laval in Quebec City, the Galerie Voix visuelle in Ottawa and Galerie Laroche/Joncas in Montreal. In 2015 and 2013, Galerie Laroche/Joncas organized two exhibitions of her work, presented successively in duo with works by Lynne Cohen and Jana Sterbak. In recent decades, she has taken part in numerous thematic exhibitions, including Femmes artistes du XXe siècle au Québec (Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, 2010) and Enfants de Cartier, photographie canadienne contemporaine (Théâtre de la photographie et de l’image, Nice, 2007).
