ExpVisLab

ExpVisLab is a California-based artists’ collective formed by George Legrady, Marco Pinter, and Danny Bazo. Born in 1950 in Budapest, George Legrady moved to Montreal in 1956 and to California in 1981. He directs the Experimental Visualization Lab in the Media Arts and Technology (MAT) program at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His interactive media works have been exhibited internationally in the United States, Canada, Finland, France, and China. Marco Pinter holds degrees from Cornell University and the University of California. He has issued patents in the areas of live video technology, robotics, interactivity, and telepresence. Born in 1979 in Lima, Danny Bazo is a doctoral student in the MAT program with a background in visual arts, electrical engineering and computer science. His research is focused on robotics and multimedia signal processing.
