Renate Lorenz

Pauline Boudry (Switzerland) and Renate Lorenz (Germany) have worked together since 2007. Their artistic practice manifests itself in films, performances, songs, objects and texts. They collaborate with dancers, choreographers and artists, exploring the conditions of performance, the violent history of the representation and regulation of bodies, as well as companionship, glamour and resistance.
Their works have been shown at Istituto Svizzero (Rome and Milan, 2025-2026), MUAC (Mexico City, 2025), NEST (The Hague, 2025), the 35th São Paulo Art Biennial (2023), Palacio de Cristal and Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid, 2022-2023), Whitechapel Gallery (London, 2022), Centre Pompidou (Paris, 2021), the Swiss Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2019), and Julia Stoschek Collection (Berlin, 2019).
