Intergenerational Activity:
1985 From One Generation to the Next

VOX is pleased to invite young and old to this mediation activity in conjunction with the exhibition 1985. Image-Worlds.
What was it like to be young in the 1980s? Declared “International Year of Youth” by the United Nations General Assembly, the year 1985 leads us to reflect on the issues that have affected the younger generations from the past to the present through the media, entertainment and the news. From the “no future” mentality to radical activism, prejudices will be put to the test!
The activity includes:
– A guided tour of the exhibition with a mediator (duration: 1 h)
– An intergenerational discussion (duration: 30 min)
Coordinated by VOX, this discussion allows your group to be paired with a group from a different age group to encourage dialogue between people who have lived through the 1980s and young people who have not.
