With Tropicana, artist Juan Ortiz-Apuy presents a world where the biodiversity of his native Costa Rica rhymes with the tempting array of products on store shelves. In this seductive universe, the exoticism of Latin America - with its colorful animals, lush vegetation and lively rhythms - is matched only by advertising strategies that appeal to the visual, tactile and auditory qualities of objects... the better to attract budding consumers!
