Alain Deneault is a Québécois philosopher with a doctorate in philosophy from the Université Paris-VIII. He was a program director at the Collège international de philosophie in Paris from 2016 to 2022. He is currently a professor at the Shippagan campus of the Université de Moncton on the Acadian Peninsula.

He has published numerous essays, notably on Canadian mining policies, tax havens, multinationals, the sovereignty of private powers and the history of the polysemous notion of the economy. [Source: VOX, 2024]
