Printing workshop:
Cercle déboité
June 08, 2024
VOX invites young and old alike to discover Cercle déboité, a modular alphabet that uses elongated or compressed circles and semicircles as a typographic design tool. Using stamps of different shapes, you can create new patterns by addition, composition or layering, giving free rein to your imagination.
You are then invited to discover the world of typography in its most inventive forms by visiting the exhibition ART + TYPO.
This workshop, developed by the Centre de design de l'UQAM, is the result of a student project developed in the bachelor's degree in graphic design at the École de design de l'UQAM as part of the course Design : problématique taught by Matthias Kreutzer. Cercle déboité is a typographic instrument designed during the fall 2023 semester by students Natalia Li, Lucas Manchester and Juliette Turcotte.
