Dada performance:
Kurt Schwitters. Ursonate

In conjunction with the exhibition ART + TYPO, VOX invites you to a Dada performance of Kurt Schwitters’ Ursonate, conducted by composer and performer André Pappathomas. An emblematic work of Schwitters’ sound poetry, Ursonate [Sonata in Primal Sounds] was written into a score by the eminent typographer, graphic designer and theorist Jan Tschichold in 1932.

Joined by soprano Virginie Mongeau, Pappathomas will perform excerpts from this score that resonate with the physical and acoustic properties of VOX’s exhibition spaces and with the works on view.

The performance will consist of a series of short interventions spread over the course of an hour.
